Graham Ducker spent many years as a Principal and Primary Methods Specialist in Ontario schools. His book, Don’t Wake The Teacher!, received a rating of 9-out-of 10 point rating by an American book company.
The most recent of Mr. Ducker’s many educational articles was “You Reap What You Sow”, published in the 2003 spring edition of The Ministry of Education’s Renaissance.
He has over fifty short stories and poems published in Canadian and in international publications. In 2007, he published a compilation of his many poems in the collection, Observations Of Heart And Mind.
In addition to the Brooklin Poetry Society, Graham Ducker is a member of The Film, Arts, Media, Entertainment of Durham Region; The Writers’ Circle of Durham Region; the Ontario Poetry Society; the Durham Folklore Society; The Canadian Federation Of Poets; and the Canada Cuba Literary Alliance (CCLA). In 2007, as part of a CCLA delegation to Cuba, Mr. Ducker read at the Canadian Embassy, the University of Havana, the Havana Library and on special invitation also read at the International Book Fair.
Mr. Ducker’s interests include canoeing, camping, composing music and amateur prospecting. Mr. Ducker resides in Oshawa with his wife, and is the father of two grownup children and has two grandchildren.
